The sample report
A full report for a sample business: what it’s worth, the plan to make it worth more, and every figure’s source. See inside before you run your own.
What the sample is
The sample report is a full run for a small business phone company with $2.65M in yearly sales and 7,800 phone lines. Its figures are a demonstration, built for the purpose, not a forecast for your business. The names are removed. Everything else is exactly as the engine printed it.
Four pages from inside
The first 90 days, from the sample
Part 2 is the part owners act on first: nine actions that need no new hire and no new system. In the sample they are:
- Put a reason code on every discount
- Run a two-carrier termination RFP
- Clean up the number inventory
- Audit USF recovery line by line
- Record why every customer leaves
- Code every lost opportunity
- Reactivate the six dormant partners
- Build the add-back schedule and a clean trailing-twelve-month P&L
- Decide the buyer strategy now
Each comes with three steps, an effort level, the odds it lands, and the objective it serves. The first, a reason code on every discount, serves the objective worth +$620k: stop the slow leak in average price.
What waiting costs
A buyer credits a result only once it shows up in the trailing twelve months. Start the sample’s plan this quarter and the work is creditable at a sale three years out. Start a year later and the same work arrives unpaid.
How to read it. Each bar is what the business is worth three years from now. The difference between the first two, $647k, is the price of starting late.
