Questions owners ask
What owners and advisors ask first, answered plainly.
What owners and advisors ask first
Is this an appraisal?
No. A run is an estimate of value for planning. It is not an appraisal, a fairness opinion or an offer, and it says so on every page. Formal appraisals for estate, divorce, buy-sell or litigation matters need a credentialed appraiser.
What do I need to provide?
The questionnaire, three years of statements and the trailing twelve months with tax returns, a customer or billing export, and the contracts behind the claims a buyer will test. The studio takes about 25 minutes for a complete run, and you can stop and come back.
What if I’m not planning to sell?
The plan is the point either way. Each move is priced, so you know what it is worth to the business before you start it, and a business worth more pays out more and borrows more whether or not you ever sell.
Why several methods instead of one number?
Because no single method can check itself. The cash-flow method sets the value, because it’s built from your own numbers; the others test it against what similar companies sold for. Where they agree, the number is firm. The plan then shows how to raise it.
Can I disagree with the number?
Yes. The judgments in every run are printed line by line. Change an input and the run repeats, showing what moved.
Can my team see the plan without the price?
Yes. The team edition carries the measures, owners and dates, and never the price.
Which industries are covered?
Each run reads a dossier for the company’s industry. Hosted voice and UCaaS is first; coverage is expanding. Ask about yours on a demo.
What happens to my data?
Your answers stay on your device until you export them. Statements sent for a run are seen only by the people on it and are never used to train anything. See Your data.
Can advisors deliver runs under their own brand?
Yes. Every edition can carry your name, with the method disclosed in full.
