Stamps on every page

Five short stamps at the foot of every page say exactly what produced it, so anyone can rerun it and get the same number.

Five stamps, every page

At the foot of every page of a MonoBridge report are five short stamps. Together they say exactly what produced that page: which engine, which rules, which inputs, which industry research and which plan definition.

How to read it. Read left to right: the engine version, the valuation-policy version, a fingerprint of your inputs, the date of the industry research, and the plan definition.

What they promise

Same five stamps, same value. If two reports on the same business carry the same stamps, they used the same inputs, the same rules and the same research, so they say the same thing. If any stamp differs, the value may differ, and the report’s revision bridge says by how much and why.

Same stamps

Same inputs, rules and research. The value matches to the dollar. Anyone can rerun it and check.

One stamp differs

Something changed. The revision bridge splits the difference into method changes and your inputs, line by line.

The inputs stamp is a hash of every resolved input together with its evidence tier. So if you move one number from “your number” to “confirmed from a document”, the stamp changes even if the figure doesn’t, because what the value rests on has changed.

Stamps also date the evidence

Because the research is stamped, its age is visible. A dossier or a deal older than 24 months is flagged. The sample’s research was a month old; 7 of the 12 deals in its evidence set were older than that, and the report reads them as context for the multiple range, not as current prices.

  • Engine stamp. The engine version constant
  • Policy stamp. Incremented whenever a rule the policy states changes; the log prints on the versions page
  • Inputs stamp. Six characters of a hash over every resolved input value and its provenance tier
  • Dossier stamp. The dossier’s compile date and benchmark vintage (Census NAICS 2022 for the sample)
  • Plan stamp. The plan definition date with its revision suffixes
